温度采集器用来收集传感器的温度信号，将其重新打包，通过有线或无线（ＧＰＲＳ）方式发送至后台监控系统，安装在测温现场。一个温度采集器对应有 3 个收发数据端口，每个数据收发端口连接一个收发天线用于与测温传感头通信。由于各个传感探头的谐振中心频率不同，每个收发天线可以同时和 6 个传感探头通信，即一个信号读写器可对应 18 个温度传感探头。

采集器由单独的电源供电，并向被测点上的传感器发射短射频信号。如果射频脉冲的频率与温度传感器预设的频率相同，传感器就能收到该射频信号，并且改变和被动地反射脉冲信号。返回的脉冲信号由于受到了传感器自身温度的影响，因而携带了传感器的温度信息。采集器支持交流220V供电方式和直流１２Ｖ两种供电方式。

后台监控器采用时分复用或频分复用等方式同时控制 1~100 个温度采集器，而每个温度采集器可同时对应多个声表面波温度传感器，因此，整个系统可同时在线监测几百、上千个电体被测点的温度。并可以存储历史数据，系统根据历史数据和实时数据可及时判断被测点温度是否正常，并对可能发生故障的被测点进行预测和提前报警。
